(More customer reviews)After reading other reviews for Juanes albums this will not come as a shock to anyone that listens to his music as always he is totally BRILLIANT nothing that he writes is bad.This particular album i have found represents Juanes in true fashion a brilliant musician and a poet of a song writer.I could not pick out one song that is my fave as they all are and are all equally uplifting.My advice to anyone would be to purchase this album as you will not be dissapointed even if you do not speak or understand Spanish you will understand what Juanes is singing about as it comes form the heart and soul.

(More customer reviews)Comparing this DVD with the previous one of he is not the Same thing in truth gives pain of as they could call this a finished product. If it is had to compare with the rest of the productions of Alexander Sanz it is a true backward movement with bad image that not even seems quality DVD and audio nothing special.
By the way, Amazon is not bothered in mentioning that one of both discs that east package includes is the DVD and the other a live disc of 10 songs extragoings of the concert live. The sound of the band is not as good as what normally there is customary Alejadnro to us.
What has happened to him to Alexander with these bad productions?
I give rating him of 2 stars because the performance of the band is spectacular although the rest of the product leaves much to be desired. It is not worth the trouble to buy it unless you are very fanatico of Alexander.

(More customer reviews)This Concert is absolutely amazing, the way Alejandro sings its so genuine and heartfelt, He really connects to the public and you can watch how the public (over 60,000) interacts with him specially in (Y ¿Si fuera ella?) is unbelievable, this is a must have....The only thing I was expecting that i didn't get was the Lyrics subtitled, but must of you probably know the songs by experience, like me ;).

All Good Things is an awesome album that has been long overdue as far as I'm concerned. This album has something for everyone, and if you like eclectic music this is the first truly cross cultural hip hop album since The Fugees dropped The Score. While the fugees are clearly a more rap-centric group at that point, Pacha Massive's ecclectic mix definitely deserves comparison to them. It's that good.
Pacha Massive was on my mind long before they had an official album on the market. I run in a lot of different musical circles, especially in NY city. And this duo definitely has had a reputation for bringing originality to their own brand of Latin fusion. Normally I don't even like the word "Latin" but in this case this applies. This is a great blend between European, South American, African and American music styles.
Pacha Massive easily switch between singing and rapping in English and Spanish. They do that while mixing beats and music including trip-hop, Latin, hip-hop and techno beats as well as every musical influence you can name. Yet the combination of all these things is so smooth that I believe some may mistake it for "pop." If they get the attention they deserve it may become "pop."
"Don't Let Go" is a laid back track, but a great introduction to a fantastic album,. The rhythm and beat are well laid down and the chorus is very catchy. The Spanish rap on this track is also good and lends to an overall chill atmosphere. This is not the kind of mind-blowing rap that some are producing these days. But to repeat, I think this rap is intentionally laid back to not overpower the chill vibe of the song.
"Oye Mira," "All Good Things," and "Pachangueando" are probably most representative of this album as a whole and feature Maia on lead vocals, just like the title track. The whole album has a very chill vibe to it, but there is still a nice mix of styles in these songs. Some songs like "De pies a la cabeza," "Only You" and "Take it easy" showcase the male vocal half of this group. But still, it's the overall vibe that matters most on this album. And the vibe is great.
The songs on this album only get better as you listen to them more. Each one is a self contained piece that will make you wonder why more music like this doesn't get made.
This is music for those who are into latin fusion and have eclectic tastes. Speaking Spanish is by no means a prerequisite to enjoying this, but it will definitely aid your enjoyment. :)

This is no surprise to see this overwhelming Italian pop artist competing with such world-wide popular acts as The Beatles or Backstreet Boys(who are also at the moment occupying high chart positions everywhere). People in Europe have been listening to Eros' music for almost 18 years without properly understanding his lyrics. And one, who loves music, does not have to understand the lyrics of Ramazzotti because he communicates with his fans through his high quality-romantic music and beautifully arranged vocals. His latest Album "Stilelibero" (freestyle), released on October 23, 2000 has already gone gold and even platinum in some important European music markets including Germany's. "Stilelibero" contains many breathtaking tracks including "Fuoco Nel Fuoco," which was the first single released from the album, the album also includes a track that no one would want to miss is of course "Piu Che Puoi" (duet with Cher), and one that I would not forget to mention is "Amica Donna Mia." Despite the fact that the album has been released also in Spanish version for his Spanish speaking fans, BMG has plans for making the English version of the album as well.

(More customer reviews)I've been waiting for a package like this from EI for years, and finally it is here. All #1 songs here are pure classics. The new tracks are on their way to become classics too.They are real good. An exceptional CD that should be part of you collection.
Now beware they are two version being release at the same time. One is this version with th DVD, and the other without the DVD and only 14 songs in it including the new tracks. I bought the latter one before I knew there was another version in the market.It's missing five songs like "Para Que La Vida" which is my favorite. But anyway I bought the first one too. Now I own both versions. Just make sure which version has the songs you like before you make any purchase.But whatever version you buy,you won't regret it.

(More customer reviews)Luis Miguel's newest album Complices has received some negative comments which has surprised me. I've mostly been surprised by the specific criticisms since I had a different take than what I've seen out there.
First of all, Luis Miguel's interpretive style is very well known and has been very successful for him. That he's been criticized for his "classic" style and lack of "innovation" is somewhat puzzling. I love innovative and inventive music, but I love traditional music as well. If I want to hear innovation I look elsewhere. If I want to hear beautifully sung Spanish ballads and boleros, I will listen to Luis Miguel, Vicente Fernandez, and the other greats in that genre. Innovation is great, but doing what you do best is also great. There is nothing wrong, in my mind with him playing to his strengths and making more of the same kind of music.
I bought the album without even knowing many details about it beforehand. As far as the song writing, I was surprised to learn that all the songs were written by one writer, Manuel Alejandro. To me that makes the album more impressive, because I think most of the songs are great and very well written.
The production and recording value of these songs are also top notch. Some types of music is criticized for being "over-produced." But when it comes to classic love songs, ballads and the like, this type of professional production is the only way to go. Professional and clean production is one of Luis Miguel's strengths.
The one thing that I didn't like about this album were the 3 pop songs that seemed to be thrown in at random and completely out of the flow of the songs they followed. I'm surprised to hear no comments on those tracks, except for one positive comment. To each his or her own.
Perhaps I am wrong. But I found those tracks to be too much in the 70s style. I had more than one flashback of "The Love Boat" listening to them. They include "De Nuevo Al Paraiso," "Estrenando Amor" and "Tu Imaginacion." I just found those songs to be "corny" for lack of a better word. Now I have to create a new disk by removing those songs. Normally I like disks to include more music, but this disk would have been a 5 star recording if those three tracks had been left in the studio.
Still, almost every other song on this album is a possible hit. The title track, "Complices," is a clever play on words. But my personal favorites are "Dicen" and "Si tu te atreves." "Amor de hecho" and "Se amaban" are good too.
Once again, this album has been panned by some who have outgrown Luis Miguel's style or never liked him in the first place. If you really listen to the entire album front to back, you will see there is some great music in here. If not for those 3 pop songs, this would have been a classic start to finish.
Leave the pop to Cristian Castro as far as I'm concerned. If Luis Miguel sticks to his own style of interpretation, he will continue to churn out hit records no matter who doesn't like his classic style.

Poco queda de la agresividad y descomplicación del primer albúm (que sigue siendo mi favorito de Calle 13). Lo que podrán escuchar en este albúm es más madurez musical y letras con más contenido social, y menos palabrotas.
Lo cierto es que el album es muy bueno, más rockero, menos Hip-Hop. Menos cachondeo y más protesta social. Sinceramente, prefiero las canciones más vulgares, pero esta es una evolución natural del Residente. Totalmente recomendado

I am as non-Latina as they come, but I can't play this (at work) without swaying/dancing in my seat. People stop at my office door and smile--it is that contagious. I agree with other reviewers: Dudamel is a buoyant talent, the real thing, and I for one am thrilled to be around to watch him mature and dazzle. I live in New York where I've seen him twice, but would fly to LA to see him at work again--kudos to them for hiring this extraordinary young man. Please buy this CD--so highly recommended. Absolutely brilliant.

(More customer reviews)I was actually fortunate enough to be in Italy while Eros was on tour. I was able to attend one of his concerts in Catanzaro, Calabria. The concert was PHENOMENAL!!! I never wanted it to end. When i purchased this DVD, it made me feel like i was right there again, only closer. Eros is an amazing musician and an excellent performer! If you don't understand Italian, I would recommend trying to translate his lyrics online, because his concert is incredible, but it's just that much better if you are able to understand the story behind his magic, especially the songs he sings to his daughter Aurora. Ti Amo EROS!

It makes sense for him to record an album of these beautiful classic songs. I don't think he should only sing one style of music. Yes his great with salsa. But his voice is way too good to sing only salsa music. I love the album! Love the arrangements, the music, the lyrics, and especially the way Marc sings these romantic songs. He is the best! I especially love the two new original songs. I think this is Marcs best work to date. His voice is even better than ever. Can't wait to see what else he has in store for us.

Don't think that this is flowery, fluffy flamenco guitar music, its not. If you like rock, you'll love this. The opening two tracks ("Tamacun" and "Diablo Rojo") are the highlights in an album of standout tracks. Tremendous. ray

"It reminded us of Tamacun, the famous Mexican eccentric who is in Ixtapa where we lived for a while".Tamacun -"Tamacun's message is to teach kids to respect nature." He handlescrocodiles, and tourists come to photograph him.Diablo Rojo - Inspired by a wild rollercoaster called 'Red Devil' at atheme park in Copenhagen, Denmark. Three rides in a row, each. Viking Man - Another Danish inspired piece. The Viking Man was a homelessguy who encouraged Rod & Gab to tough it out on the streets, busking inminus zero conditions at Christmastime. Ricky Martin - Europa (European Tour) (2001) Review

(More customer reviews)I belong to the Ricky Martin fan club, and to be honest, I really hated the Europa DVD. I thought since it was done by family and friends, it would have lot of behind-the-scenes conversations, like "this is what Ricky's like offstage" kind of things. Instead, it was like watching the home videos my dad made of me in high school when I performed in the jazz band...shaky footage, bad camera angles, and whoever did the editing had WAY too much time to play with special effects. Zoom in on Ricky's nosehairs, zoom out to a shot from the nosebleed seats, jump here, jump there, stop motion, frame this, blur that, ugh...it made me seasick to watch. I mean, Ricky performing is a special effect by itself. We don't need all this craziness to make it "better."
A lot of it is footage of the scenery outside a car window. Spain is pretty and all, but that's not what I paid to see. Most of the conversations are blotted out and covered with music. There are some good clips at the end of Ricky goofing off and one of him doing one-arm pullups (nice arms), but in general I was disappointed. Even the video for Te Extrano, which is on the DVD, is of very poor quality, like they held the camera up to a TV and taped it from there. The "Behind the Scenes" making of that video is in slow motion and shows basically nothing except a few good Ricky facial expressions; again, no dialogue at all.
Anyway, I was really bummed out about it. On top of all of that I thought this was a "new" video, but it's not; all of the footage is pre-Vuelve (before 1999). The worst part of all are the cheesy voiceovers that boom out at you about how wonderful Ricky is. I was looking for more info about Ricky, and this really didn't deliver.
