(More customer reviews)A blistering guitar riff which soon morphs into a catchy retro Rock song on "Love is ending" opens the new CD by UK Rockers Charlatans. Comprising 10 tracks, other upbeat songs are the sixties-sounding harmonious "My foolish pride", "Sincerity" (with a shouty chorus), "Trust in desire" (which starts off an acoustic ballad) and the breezy "When I wonder".
"Your pure soul" is an acoustic/organ-drenched ballad. Other standouts are the Psychedelic Folky ballad "Oh!" and the part woozy experimental "You can swim" followed by the hidden spoken "On the threshold".
"Who we touch", truly touching.

(More customer reviews)This is a great Kings of Leon Concert DVD, and it ROCKS!!! It was filmed on June 30, 2009, at the "02 Colisium" in London, before a capacity crowd of 18,000 screaming fans. It consists of 22 songs, and has an approximate running time of 100 minutes. This band was featured in the Rolling Stone, a few months ago. Their picture was on the cover. These brothers and cousin - Nathan Followill, Caleb Followill, Jared Followill, & Matthew Followill, were raised in the Southern U.S.A., and currently live in the Nashville area.
This band is currently one of the "hotest" rock bands in the world, and this concert dvd certainly proves why!!! This band has a unique sound, that is all their own. I don't think any other band could duplicate their sound. This concert features some of their songs from the "Only by the Night" Album Cd, along with some of their classics. Plus this band, is one of the best bands to emerge within the current decade. It's an original band with all original songs.
Don't believe the review of this dvd in the current issue of the Rolling Stone (they gave it only a 2 star, and they really didn't know what they were talking about.) This band gives it's all in performing before this 18,000 fan capacity crowd. There are no mediocre performances. This band performs extremely well on each and every song. They knew this was being filmed for a dvd. Their lead man Caleb Followill has some excellent interaction with the crowd. Plus, the crowd is really into this concert. All the songs on this dvd were written by the band members themselves. The Key Tracks include: Use Somebody, Sex on Fire, Notion, Molly's Chambers, On Call and the Bucket. All the other songs are very good also.
This is a GREAT CONCERT DVD, the filming, the sound, the audience are all GREAT, making this one GREAT Concert DVD!!! If you love Rock, you'll love this one. Thanks!!!!

The only complaint I have about THIS CD is that it is implied that it is a Live form Australia disc,it is not Live. It is the same as their new studio disc with a DVD from London. The lyrics are included. As a collector I don't mind
this is a great band with great music.

(More customer reviews)It's a great album the Kings of Leon have made with their ONLY BY THE NIGHT, a bit commercial comparing it to their las 3 records (as an old fan of KOL, this is an attempt from them to become more popular, i think, beginning with their new look with trim hair and more preppy clothes hahaha) but is indeed a great album, very melodic, worked with coherence through beginning to end, very rock n roll indeed!!!
But for you fans that like to collect your favourite bands limited editions, beware: THIS CD DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ORIGINAL UK ONLY ARTWORK (THE GUYS FACES MIXED IN GREY BACKGROUND) AS IT STATES ON THE DESCRIPTION MADE BY SUPPLIER, it comes with the U.S. and rest of the world artwork (the peacocks fighting?!? i haven't figure out what they are exactly) just as the pictures shows above.
I bought this one with the confidence it had the UK artwork as it says, and when it arrived i was kinda dissapointed for this issue.
But anyways, just having that in mind, is a good purchase anyway, the DVD performance in a London Studio T4 without audience, just the KOL playing these 5 songs in a dark studio stage, was worth the purchase :)
