(More customer reviews)Okay, first of all, don't make fun of my incredibly cheesy review title, because IT'S FITTING! I have been listening to this band for almost a year now thanks to Pandora and I have not yet heard one song come out of this band that wasn't absolutely and ridiculously awesome :D This album's levels of amazingness shine through several angles, I mean how could it not, it was produced by Chad from NFG and the almighty Adam of Killswitch! I could honestly sit here and go on and on about how great they are, but I just want to tell you, this album is worth listening to from start to finish, and then put it all on repeat a couple times, then several more (yea, it's that good!)

(More customer reviews)Lately I've been listening to this album out of my 'metallic hardcore' collection.
It's very good. Especially the vocals.
In previous reviews people have noted this album's great "screams". It's important to note that there are not any screams on this album.
The vocals in this album are death growls, you silly people.
Though the riffs are heavily gothenburg inspired (as in, yeah, sounds like As I Lay Dying), their own style constantly bleeds through (666 is really un-gothenburg for example) and it sounds better than all AILD clones.
Hell, in my opinion, they sound better than AILD.
What puts them above and beyond? The vocals. I applaud Ed Butcher's preformence and style; his growls perfectly fit their deathcore.
I myself was like, "Wait, what? These aren't screams... I think..."
And they aren't. He growls in the same fashion that one would scream on a regular metalcore samefest. You'd think someone else would have done that by now, but most deathcore embraces the death more than the core.
I Killed The Prom Queen embraces the core first with amazing results, like the drumming (which is always clever and very much hardcore).
Though the riffs sound generic at times (very few times, I assure you) their entire sound is not one worth missing.
4.5 stars out of 5 (rounded up).

(More customer reviews)Amazing, Simply amazing. From start to finish, the self-titled sophomore album rocks. I was a huge fan of the After Dark LP and thought they went wrong with their debut album. They more then make it up with this effort. Almost every track, except the slower ones which still are great, break out with great rifts and melodious drum beats. If you are a fan of Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, Bayside, and any of the screamo bands, you will fall in love with this CD. My personal favorites would have to be degenerates, the deep end, pistol to my temple, holding on, and free again. The slower goes without saying and watch me bleed are also good songs.

(More customer reviews)After reading the earlier reviews, they made me a little upset. This album is spectacular. I recently heard these guys in concert, and loved them. I think it is unfair to judge this album compared to the previous album. I think it is funny that people are asking them to change their name so they don't get confused. Just because you are too simple minded to understand and hear the difference between Ronnie and Craig, doesn't mean that they have to change the name of the band.
All albums should be judged independently of any other releases from the band. If this album is worth 5 stars, give it 5 stars, if it is worth 4, give it 4. But what you shouldn't do is give it a low amount of stars because you still have a crush on Ronnie. Let's remember, it isn't Craig's or ETF's fault Ronnie isn't in the band anymore.
