Besides the release of "Love Album", Westlife also released their 2006 world tour "Face to Face" DVD. This time, the whole show was recorded at Wembley! Mark is my favorite member in Westlife, but I find myself enjoying Shane more this time! Mark's performance is unsteady, while Shane performed better than the albums. Finally, fans can listen to Nicky's and Kian's awesome voices again! Although Nicky's vocal is not strong, his voice is really soothing and gentle; Kian's vocal is surprisingly good, it makes me wonder why he doesn't contribute more to Westlife's album!
The tour consisted of classic Westlife songs ("Flying Without Wings", "Mandy", "Swear It Again", etc), unexpected good old songs ("Seasons in the Sun", "Queen of My Heart"), new songs from the album "Face to Face" ("You Raise Me Up", "Hit You With The Real Thing", "Amazing", etc), and exciting medleys! They also sang "The Dance", which is not a better version than the "Love Album" version, but I really love that song! Overall, another Westlife tour that should not be missed! Westlife will have their brand new tour in 2007, but until then, enjoy this DVD!

Face to Face Review

It's been one album a year for Westlife since their debut in 1999, and after last year's Sinatra tribute "Allow Us To Be Frank", this one is a nice switch back to the pop ballads that made them famous.
You may recognize several of the songs on this album, especially the first single "You Raise Me Up" made popular recently by Josh Groban, except that now it has bagpipes. Second single "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" features Diana Ross, and music fans will also recognize "She's Back" (Human Nature); "Desperado" (The Carpenters, Eagles and others); "Colour My World" (Backstreet Boys, even if theirs is spelt Color); "In This Life" (Bette Midler, Ronan Keating) and "Heart Without a Home" (Nick Carter).
The rest of the album is typical Westlife, except for "Hit You With The Real Thing" which sounds more like N'Sync or Five, and "Change Your Mind" which has a retro sound reminiscent of "I Can't Help Myself" (Sugar Pie Honey Love)" by the Four Tops, The Supremes, The Temptations and others.
An album that will make most Westlife fans very happy.Amanda Richards, November 18, 2005

Westlife: The Number Ones Tour (2005) Review

Four guys from Ireland who really know how to sing!! That is what you get with WESTLIFE. It is really too bad that the U.S. hasn't embraced them.
This concert shows just what they can do. They sing wonderfully, they dance and they connect with their audience. They have been selling out concerts all over Europe and Asia for the last seven years. Shane Filan is the lead, Mark Feehily sings the high parts and Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan are great with the harmonies.
If you can find this DVD, buy it. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be readily available in NTSC format at a price comparable to that in Europe, so the U.S. buyers can enjoy it, as easily as those in Europe. This is really a shame.

This is not an NTSC format DVD. It won't play on my DVD players. I was able to get it to play on one of my PC's that runs Windows Vista but not my PC with Windows XP. Amazon states that it is NTSC format for all regions but it says PAL format on the back of the box. You can buy an all region DVD player, but after reading the reviews on the inexpensive players I decided not to purchase one.
I give it five stars since I love Westlife and this is a great DVD if you want to see them as a young 5 member group.
Their DVD "10 Years of Westlife - Live at Croake Park" is sold in NTSC format and will play on U.S. DVD players and I highly recomend it to anyone interested in Westlife.

From the moment that Westlife appeared on stage, I got goosebumps. I've loved this group from afar (well America) and this is the closest I can get to seeing them live. The video is crisp and clear and the audio is outstanding. My favorite singer is Mark Feehily and his vocals don't disappoint in this video.
Where We Are is in my top 2 Westlife albums and I highly recommend this video for any pop music fan!
