(More customer reviews)The album is a melting pot of P-Funk originals that go on and on. This is a good thing. The mark of a fine band is when they can play live and just have FUN. Too many people want to hear their songs played exactly how they were done on the studio recordings, and they forget that the band likes to have fun too.
Dennis Chambers is already one of the world's best drummers, and he really let it shine in this recording. The synergy between him and the Bass Player was incredible. They were a fusion of Funk, and the gods were happy that night they played.
It's a FUN album. Clinton does his thing as does Maceo and Skeet. The crowd loved them, and they all had a blast. This makes for an incredible live album.
If you are looking for P-funk to be played exactly how you heard it in a studio recording, DO NOT buy this album. You won't like it. If you are open-minded and have a great sense of fun and love to explore the ins-and-outs of the artist and their music, then by all means buy this album. YOu will go on a journey of Funkadelic Mayhem that will leave you jonesing for more.
