(More customer reviews)It's the *signature* Christian/pop/rock Newsboys sound reinvented- and it works!
...Not since Thrive, and maybe even Going Public & Not Ashamed(?), have we had a collection similar to this. It's mainly upbeat pop, and sometimes quirky, though not as edgy as we might expect. Newsboys getting back to basics...
1. "Wherever We Go": Cynics *might* roll their eyes at this, but it's good, clean fun. Great for kids! :)
2. "Go": Great title track; one of my favorites. Like early Newsboys revisited- yet it rocks like Thrive!
3. "Something Beautiful": Lives up to its name! Very catchy, eighties-like, synth-pop/beat.
4. "The Mission": Bright, fast-paced, inspirational and filled with hope! It's *also* a favorite...
5. "Let It All Come Out": It's healing of the *best* kind- if you needed it. And I did!
6. "In Wonder": It's a very passionate, non-traditional, worship track. It works!
7. "Your Love Is Better Than Life": Unique & fast-paced. Peter raps better than K-Fed!? :) Really, it's "wordy" in a good way...
8. "I Am Free": Does *this* track need any intro? It's easily one of my Top 3! I can't wait to hear this in concert...
9. "Secret Kingdom": A very catchy-sounding, energetic track- with familiar whistling. One of my favorites.
10. "The Letter": Rich with meaning; very Biblical! Very soothing- It's *not* on Go:Remixed.
11. "Gonna Be Alright": Very soft & exactly as advertised. It really *is* alright.
...It seems like an excellent mix between Thrive & everything released since Not Ashamed. It'll be interesting to see which tracks really take off in popularity- there are many potential hits here. Congratulations Newsboys- on a job *extremely* well done!
P.S. The ENHANCED version should have extra tracks & special video added. I accidentally bought a non-enhanced version at a local retailer! Now I have to buy 2 CDs. See "comments"...
