(More customer reviews)This is a poor excuse for a compilation CD and an insult to most of the bands on here. Not only that, this album is also very dangerous to the state of hard music today. Before you vote my review "not helpful", take a look at the track listing. Notice how, with few exceptions, they put every hit radio single on here? What are they trying to say? That the only good song of Incubus worth listening to is "Pardon Me"? Just because it's the hit single? It's painfully obvious that MTV is picking up on something that's become more popular recently, and they're trying to turn it into a blatant trend. Because of Korn's increasing TRL exposure, MTV caught the scent of money and immediately started to turn this music into another flavor-of-the-month. Most of the kids that buy this will do so because all their favorite radio songs are on one disc, and they won't ever appreciate any of the other songs any of the artists did. Once hard music stops being trendy with the MTV kids, they'll just flock to the next music trend, find some new bands that they can buy T-shirts of, and leave one of the best styles of music ever behind as if it were just another trend. So please, for everyone's sake, if you're a fan of this type of music, don't buy this album that disgraces the bands on here because of MTV's attempt to turn good bands into one hit wonders. Instead, buy all the albums by Sevendust, Incubus, Machine Head, and other good bands and listen to the whole album, not just the radio singles. I guarantee that by really listening to these band's music, you'll discover much more good music than you can ever hear on MTV's ridiculous shows. You'd be doing yourself a favor, and by appreciating all of the songs, not just the hit singles, you can help keep hard music alive and well long after the MTV era passes.
