Can't believe there are no reviews of this! Ok, Bowie in the 80's. People always just say it is throwaway music, I understand what they mean, but there is WAY more to it than that my friends. The 80's had some damn good stuff. Ok, back to Bowie. He starts off the decade with some radical albums, Lodgers, Scary Monsters are two great examples, and for those of you must have a "hit", check out the classic "Fashion" remember that one kids? Then the super success of Let's Dance, and the follow ups Never Let Me Down and Tonight, which I guess get the tag of "80's sounding" dating. Ok, this tour is THE 80's document of Bowie live in concert. YES, people can't get past the giant spider and theatrics of the shows, but this is about the music man! Some of the attempts of drama and skits and such I think are actually pretty cool, some falls flat, but again, THE MUSIC MAN!! Bowie's vocals are so damn good on this! The band is kick ass, period. The superb Carlos Alomar on guitar, and special guest (and childhood friend of Bowie) Peter Frampton! Frampton wails away on this tour, and his soloing is just excellent. Watch for a special vocal appearance by Peter on this on a older, more obscure Bowie Tune (Sons Silent Age). Carmine Rojas is fantastic on bass, and the drummer and keyboards hang right in there. SO, if you want to see some of Bowie's classic tunes, and his late 70's and early 80's stuff--along with the BEST versions of the 80's stuff, you need to check this stuff out! Hey, this is just because I care man, cheers, Jaderain
