This is the blu-ray version of the outstanding Shadows 2004 concert recorded in Cardiff, UK. Contents are the same as the standard DVD. The menu system is a different, specifically there are more song titles displayed per screen than the original.
If you have a blu-ray player, I have a pioneer elite BDP-23FD. Picture quality is fantastic (even the standard DVD looks great on this player) and you can see more of whatever was being filmed.
I'd have given this DVD 10 stars, if possible. The performance is outstanding. If you've never heard The Shadows live, here's your chance.
I have only a standard stereo system, but the sound quality (just like the standard DVD) is great.
I'm now awaiting the blu-ray release of the Cliff/Shads Final Reunion DVD...hopefully coming soon.

Known as England's answer to The Ventures, underrated British rock group The Shadows started out as Cliff Richards' 1950s backup band, but went on to score solo success as surf-guitar instrumentalists throughout the 1960s and '70s. This 2004 concert reunites original members Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch, and Brian Bennett as they perform Shadows classics such as "Apache," "Man of Mystery," "FBI," "Kon Tiki," "Wonderful Land," "Theme for Young Lovers," and many more.
