DJ Clue Presents: Backstage Mixtape Review

This new one from DJ Clue just takes him to another level. It shows how versatile he can be with songs for the club, to slow songs to r+b to hard core rap. This time around he pulls in new artists like T-boz and rell to join on the mix who both have good songs. The new song "Road dogs" is one of the best songs on the a;lbum with a tight beat. "In the club" with benie segal is another good one. I give this 5 stars just for the songs I liked on it. Out of 19 songs I liked 12 so I think it was still worth it. If your looking for a new mix album to bump in the car or anywhere then this is the cd to get.

Mary J. Blige - Live in Los Angeles Review

Mary J. Blige - Live in Los Angeles

I couldn't agree more with the other reviews here.
I'm not much for filmed concerts of any musical genre. They usually fall flat and there's so much camera work that it's hard to stay focused on the music. Not so with "Live In Los Angeles".
To say this concert is enjoyable is an understatement. We were dancing in our seats, waving our hands, applauding and felt young again watching Mary. It's not about costumes and glitz on stage. The music and the voice are what's commanding your attention here. You can't help but be caught up in the mastery of Ms. Blige's voice. She has never sounded better to my ears.
From the whirlwind groove of hit singles she starts the show with to the quieter thought provoking "Children of the Ghetto" centerpiece, then back for more uptempo songs through the end, Mary's energy and passion for the music and lyrics never wavers. The band is superb and those back up singers...WOW!!!
Not one song is ever lipsynched to. Brava, Mary!
Now I can't wait for the performance at House of Blues to be released shortly. You've made me a fan, Mary.

This is why I don't go to hip hop concerts. First no real presence from Ol' Dirt. There is like 15 people in the crowd. If I didn't get this so cheap I wouldn't complain further. This dvd is awful.
