(More customer reviews)Sasha Dobson sings jazz standards with precision and feeling. The richness of her voice is complimented by the Chris Byers Octet, which sounds like more than 8 musicians yet does not overwhelm Ms. Dobson. The originality of some of the "improvisations" make these standards, like "What Is This Thing Called Love?" and "April in Paris" absolutely wonderful to listen to.
