This was a very good first cd. Professionally performed and recorded. I hope that they record many more cds, and add some dvds, in their long professional careers. I am a retired singer (classically trained, and performed in musicals and nightclubs, as well as was a soloist in very well-known Opera Companies, across the US) and I was not expecting very much when I heard their group name on America's Got Talent. Boy, was I surprised when I actually heard them the first time. Their harmonies and voices are beautiful. Not only are they great together, each one has that solo quality on his own.
If you like Il Divo and would like a little more popular songs, you'll probaby love The Texas Tenors, too.
I hope they have a very long professional career and record many more beautiful cds for me to listen to.

Performed on a specially constructed floating stage in Lake Las Vegas, a resort community 20 miles south of Las Vegas, this concert is the concept of Grammy winning songwriter/producer David Foster. Along with Humberto Gatica and co-producer Tony Renis, he also produced Bocelli's album Amore, a collection of contemporary songs which inspired this new special.
Amore Under The Desert Sky, which co-stars Tony winner Heather Headley (Elton John's Aida), represents a new television era for the Tuscan-born singer. Spanish guitars flourish, traditional Latin percussion seductively keeps the tempo, accordions and harmonicas provide haunting ambience.
Highlights include "Somos Novios" - Perry Como had a hit with it as "It's Impossible" - and "The Prayer," David Foster and Carole Bayer Sager's Oscar nominated song from Quest for Camelot
Capping the program is a new song, "Because We Believe," by David Foster with lyrics by Andrea Bocelli and Amy Foster Gillies which was written for and introduced at the Torino Winter Olympics.

Musical Journey: Christmas Musical Tour (2010) Review

(More customer reviews)Beautifully filmed and arranged! Note that this is not a documentary - it is a musical journey. If you like listening to music and would like some great visual stimulation as well while you do, this is for you. The images are lovely and fit the music well. The city Christmas lights and decorations are very beautiful of course, and some of the churches featured are amazing.
If you know the old Naxos series most of those were very good as well but you didn't know what you were seeing unless you stopped the disk and went to the menu. They fixed it in this series by inserting a simple slide with a little information at the beginning of each section. As this is not a documentary per say, no more than that is needed, in my opinion -just enough to give some info without stopping the flow of music. No talking! Great!
