In 1979, after 3 studio recordings, they released what they could best: a live album which - in terms of energy, perfectionism and virtuosity (listen to the voice of Joyce!)- could not have been any better. Groovin' Rock-songs that made evrybody dance, combined with some real hitting soul-ballads.
This is the best live album by any black artist, that was ever captured. They tried to re-do this in 1991 with their album "Subluxation", but with the lack of keyboard-genius B.B.Queen, it became rougher and more stompin'. 'Mother's Finest Live!' is a must in every record collection, and after having first listened to it you will say, "Oh yes, 'Niggiz CAN sing Rock'n'Roll!'".
