I got this CD the day it came out because I was seeing them the next day as part of the 3 Doors Down, Staind and hinder show. I really like tis CD. The songs don't sound the same like many new bands. They are not heavy but solid Rock.
I also met the band after they plyed since they came out and signed autographs. Nice guys.
Listen to the samples here on Amazon and I think you'll agree with me and get the CD.

Island Records' newest band Jet Black Stare blasts their way onto Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock radio with their first single "Ready To Roll," in advance of their debut album, IN THIS LIFE, in stores July 15th.Underscoring the pre-release excitement already being generated by Jet Black Stare's "Ready To Roll," the song and another JBS track, "It's Over," were tapped for the 15-song soundtrack of EA Sports' sales phenom NASCAR 09 video game, set for June 11th release in PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 formats. In addition, "Ready To Roll" has been chosen as the official theme for this year's 21st annual WWE Summerslam pay-per-view event - always one of the wrestling year's biggest ppv draws - originating in 2008 from Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 17th.In the midst of all this activity, Jet Black Stare will wrap up a cross-country tour of their native Canada next week with State Of Shock and Econoline Crush. After a one-week break, it's back on the road in Texas, for shows with Saving Abel (five cities); then with Shinedown and EndeverAfter (three cities). Please see all tour dates below.Jet Black Stare - singer/songwriter Rod Black, guitarists Flip and Dave Muselman, bassist Shane Hayes, and drummer Dan Swinimer - were formed last year when Vancouver rock band veteran Black hooked up with songwriter/producer Jeff Johnson and the songs just started flying, more than enough to fill up IN THIS LIFE.One of them, "I'm Breathing," is rooted in Black's skirmish with death after a near-fatal car crash at age 19 as a "flat-line patient," actually pronounced dead."But," he says, "the next day I woke up!The doctors and nurses were astonished.Four hours later I walked out of the hospital and went to work."What he realized after that was essentially his purpose in life, "to do music, and to reach as many people as I can, and hopefully, bring a positive message."
