(More customer reviews)Many people will tell you that french act EZ3kiel is even better live than in the studio. I personnally think the experiences are just different as shown on this live album recorded to support their 2003 album "Barb4ry" (their third) which also marked the end of an era for the band. While the studio act has a somewhat polished sound mixing dub, electronica, hip-hop and indie rock, the live EZ3kiel takes the same components to deliver a rawer, "sweatier" performance. "Versus Tour" is quite different than their recent live album with French noise legends Hint and different than the studio recordings preceeding it too which shows how rich EZ3kiel's world is. All along the 12 tracks and 72 minutes of this live album, recorded 6 different locations with the help of electronic/avant-garde formation DAAU (Die Anarchistische Abendunterhaltung) and three guest vocalists, the 3 French 3-piece demonstrates their ability to create and energetic and uncompromised sound. A perfect counterpart to their studio albums, "Versus Tour" will make you dance and sweat to clever beats and heavy bass sounds.
