In 1952 black American Blues music was almost unknown in Britain but in that year, a Blues giant toured the country during two separate visits. That man was Big Bill Broonzy, a seminal influence on the later electrified Blues which eventually would be manifested in British groups like The Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac. Fortunately for posterity, two of Broonzy s 1952 concerts were recorded but until now have never been issued in any form.
