So far the reviews have been split on this album. On the one hand, it does seem to be a little disjointed and doesn't flow as well as some of their other albums - However, It is obvious that they were going for the best, rather than going for a homogenous blend. I like the upbeat more contemporary sound of the familiar standbys. And the new song: "Candy Cane Lane" not only puts a smile on my face but my grand kids LOVE it (hop on the choo choo and woo woo to Candy Cane Lane...right next to Gumdrop street.) It is adorable.
Kareoke? Really? Their vocal harmonies are the best you can get.
Well, that's why they make blue suits and brown suits. You can't please everyone. (But I'm still smiling)

'Home for the Holidays' is an ironic title for the latest Christmas collection from the ladies of Point of Grace since they've historically spent the majority of their Decembers on a tour bus or on a stage miles from home. But you won't hear any Christmas laments on this collection of songs that encompasses a broad range of styles including pop, jazz and country. Produced by 2010 Grammy Winner for Album of the Year, Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift), you'll hear new takes on old favorites such as the title cut, 'Joy to the World,' 'Labor of Love,' 'Candy Cane Lane,' and 'Immanuel.' The diversity of songs and sounds, along with the signature harmonies that set this group apart, is sure to make Home for the Holidays, a household favorite.
